Name: RequiemstarGender: Tom
Age: 36 moons
Rank: Leader
Clan: ShadowClan
Picture: None x)
Notable Kin:
Father-Dustedfur, Mother-Autumncall, Sister- Spiritedkit. All deceased.
Short Description: A solid gray tom with blue eyes and a white ring of fur around his tail.
In-Depth Description: Requiemstar has a unique gray pelt, which starts at his ears as a medium-gray color, and fades to a pale gray to his tail.
There is also a snowy white, ring-like tuft of fur around his tail-tip.
Requiemstar has bright blue eyes with flecks of gold. In the right light, they look like orbs of transparent ice.
He is handsome and young, with a lean muscular build. His agility and speed are somewhat average though, if not slower. This is because his right hindleg is slightly shorter than the others, making him partially unbalanced most of the time.
Personality: I am a noble leader, with wisdom like no other.
I am usually easygoing and calm. There could be a battle going on with me right in the thick of it, and yet I'll be calm and completely under control, not losing focus and keeping my objective in sight. Most of the time I am friendly, but I will be as fierce as needed in battle when fighting. I am usually strict with the apprentices, yet always good-humored. Whenever I get into a bad mood, I tend to snap at cats for no reason whatsoever and am very short-tempered. But I will usually apologize later, once I'm over my moodiness. I am patient, but you also need to be patient with me. Whenever I get excited for one reason or another, I seem to move at the speed of light.
History:
//Kittenhood. [[Requiemkit]]
I was born in a litter of 2. My sister, Spiritedkit, died only 3 days after our birth. That was pretty understandable seeing as how we were born during one of the harshest leaf-bares in the history of the Clans. Let's move on to a happier topic. My parents, Dustedfur and Autumncall, were clan-born and have always placed their loyalties with ShadowClan. I was a happy, cheerful, and jubilant as a kit. Every once in awhile I disobeyed, but was quickly put back in line. The most important lesson I learned in my kithood was this: When to keep your mouth shut, and when to speak your mind.
//Apprenticeship. [[Requiempaw]]
When I became an apprentice, I was happy, but not as happy as I should have been. I guess I missed my sister. It wasn't fair that she couldn't be here with me and mom and dad to celebrate. Although I excelled at hunting and training in my apprenticeship, I became more and more depressed. My mentor was very good to me, but it felt like something was missing in my life, and I wasn't sure what. I made it my goal to find out. Eventually I was well-trained and old enough to become a warrior. Sadly, my parents would die of greencough later that day.
//Warriorship. [[Requiemsoul]]
I became very popular in the clan, being part of almost every patrol, bringing in nearly enough fresh-kill to last several days. It took a lot out of me, and by the end of the day I was usually exhausted. But it felt great, and I was confident I was doing a great job.
After several moons, a she-cat warrior named Silverfrost came up to me and confessed her love for me. Wow. What a shock to me. I had never even thought about her that way. She was more like a sister.
To make a long story short, the day after my deputy ceremony, I told her I wasn't sure if I liked her and that I wasn't ready for love just yet. She was heartbroken, and she became depressed and upset. Honestly, I didn't know it meant so much to her.
//Deputyship. [[Requiemsoul]]
If I had known what an impact I was on Silverfrost, I would never have answered her the way I did. Maybe today she would be next to me, laughing her honey laugh and imitating one of the cranky elders. Silverfrost was found many moons later, on the Thunderpath, and her last breath had left her long ago. I felt so guilty, and for days I would starve myself. I eventually learned that starving myself was not the answer to my guilt through a dream where Silverfrost appeared to me. Since then, I have become my normal self, though I am still slightly afraid of love.
I need someone to understand that, yet still care for me.

"I..I..I really like you Requiemsoul..."
Wow. What a shock that was. I was in no way expecting that.
"Um..wow," the tom replied, a bit uneasy. He kneaded his paws into the earth in front of him, avoiding Silverfrost's eyes.
"Requiemsoul?" the she-cat gazed questioningly at the ashen-pelted tom, unsure of what his response to her confession would be.
Oh man, this is it, he thought.
Taking a deep breath, Requiemsoul gave his answer.
"Look Silverfrost, I really like you too, but you're more like my sister, and picturing you as a lover just doesn't feel right. I don't think I'm ready for love just yet. I hope you understand."
The she-cat lowered her head, eyes downcast.
"No Requiemsoul, it's okay. Really. Now I truly understand. I thought I did before, but I guess I was wrong."
The tom watched her raise her head and manage a small smile. She looked as though she were going to break down any moment now. Then she startled him yet again.
"I..I have to..to go. Hun..ting p..atrol" she softly spoke, her voice cracking on the last words.
Before Requiemsoul could say anything else, she ran through the entrance to the camp and was gone.
----------------------------------
"Requiemsoul," several voices murmured, "Requiemsoul wake up. Come with us."
The tom turned over and got slowly up. Shaking his head to chase away the sleepiness, he padded out of the den.
His expression of cheerfulness quickly turned to horror and shock. He turned white as a ghost.
There, in the center of camp, sprawled out and lifeless, was Silverfrost's soggy body. The blood drained from Requiemsoul's face as he came nearer to his best friend.
"Requiemsoul, I'm sorry, but she's gone," he heard a voice say.
"No..No... NO... SILVERFROST..."
Requiemstar woke up screaming Silverfrost's name, drenched in a cold sweat. His breathing began to regulate once he realized it was just a dream.
"Every night it seems, I have that nightmare," he murmured quietly to himself, "Silverfrost, please. Just leave me in peace."
