Name: Whisperstar
Gender: She-cat
Age: 29 moons
Rank: Leader
Clan: WindClan
Picture: tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs13/300W/i/2006/363/e/4/JUMPING_CAT_by_illugraphy.jpg
Notable Kin: Lamegait (father, ShadowClan elder), Chittervoice (brother, unknown)
Short Description A brown tabby she-cat with black stripes and green-brown eyes.
In-Depth Description: Whisperstar’s lean body is made of muscle and fur, leaving no room for much fat. Her short pelt of earth tones blends seamlessly with her environment, like any WindClan cat. Browns and grays make up her fur, with dark stripes of black. Her paws, which step ever-lightly on the ground, are white. This standout color is the reason she treads often in mud and dirt, to cover it up. Lastly, he tail is thin and long, most often raised in the air and whipping up a sense of superiority.
Personality: Prouder than a peathingy and more badger-headed than a badger, Whisperstar is a cat who values honor, pride, and strength above most else. She believes in nothing, if not the warrior code and the strength of her Clan, and is defiant of anyone who would think WindClan still the weakest of the four Clans. The biggest secret buried in Whisperstar’s heart is her longing for a mate in kits, which she buries because her Clan must come first.
History:
Kithood:
Whisperkit and Chitterkit, two beautiful tabbies, were born to Lamegait and his mate, both warriors of WindClan. Their mother took good care of them, favoring the Whisperkit over her brother because of her small, pathetic voice. It was soon after both kits reached six moons that she died of greencough.
Apprenticeship:
Whisperpaw became apprentice to Leopardsprint, the deputy, while Chitterpaw became apprentice to Shimmerstar, the Clan leader. Both cats learned quickly an eagerly, hoping to prove themselves. Following his mate’s example, Lamegait began to ignore Chitterpaw and spent more and more time with Whisperpaw, teaching her all he knew and speaking with her of his hopes to unite all the Clans and stop needless battle, making himself the only leader, and she the only deputy. She almost believed his intentions were pure.
Warriorhood:
Until Leopardsprint was found, murdered, on the WindClan border. Rouges, the Clan said, and that same day Whisperpaw and Chitterpaw became Whisperlight and Chittervoice. Only Whisperlight knew it was her father’s doing. With the Clan turning to rebel against their leader for letting their deputy die, Shimmerstar chose a new deputy, Mudjowl, and gave her only living kit to Whisperlight, a popular cat among WindClan, to mentor.
Deputyship:
Mudjowl was an old cat and, in a few moons, he confronted Shimmerstar. “I was never your first choice, was I?” He confronted his leader. “You wanted Whisperlight, I know. She has mentored her first apprentice nicely, retire me to the elders and choose her.” Shimmerstar did just that, and she regained her Clan’s trust. During her time as deputy and warrior, Lamegait was quiet, and she began trusting him…
Leadership:
Until Shimmerstar was found dead, on the same border. Rouges, the Clan told again, but this time Whisperlight had power. She wished to kill her dangerous kin, until Lamegait said that would mean revealing what he had done and tainting her leadership. Angry, she exiled him from WindClan. Chittervoice defended their father, so in fear she exiled him too. Two days after the family split, she journeyed to Highstones and became Whisperstar.
RP Sample:
“No…Leopardsprint.” Whisperlight saw her mentor walk up to her. “Please, please no.” She knew this life, her ninth, would be the most painful of all.
“With this life,” the former deputy declared as if the younger cat had been silent, “I give you faith. Use it to trust in us, others, and yourself.” The she-cat’s muzzle touched her former apprentice’s head and she bit back a painful yowl. Unmovable conviction steeled her body until she felt moving it ever again would be too much to bear. Finally, the stiff pain fled and she panted. “Rise, young one, to your new name.” The new leader did not hear the words that followed, only the faint chanting.
