(Do not steal any of this material. This is the long awaited Luna's journey. I will add more every day. DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD!)
I glanced back one final time at my camp. I was leaving behind my mother, my love, and my clan to learn of a past hidden from me for so long. The night before Silentnight told me of a propechy. It spoke of a leader, medicine cat, and two apprentices. Apprentices with horrid pasts. I had to know if I was one of them. It was time for me to learn of my heritage. I told no one that I was leaving. It was dark and no one would see me sneak out. So I turned back to the wide moor and walked forward.
The tall grass seemed to split apart and allow me to pass. Soon I broke out into a run. Fearful that part of me would turn back to my home. I ran farther than my clan's territory extended-stopping only to catch a light meal of rabbit- and continued on. The wind brushed against my pelt as I ran. It was strange how I could run as fast as a Windclan, but of course, I had no Windclan blood. Once the sun was up I was wiped. My heart beating rapidly. But I ran even faster. I went two days without sleep and one without food. Those days I just...ran. I went through forests, swamps, and moors. At night I wished I hadn't left, but during the day I was hopeful of the future.
I came to a place unlike any I'd ever seen on my fourth day. It was beautiful. A forest filled with Sky Oaks. The prey was plentiful, but I was too weak to hunt-and I had no talent hunting squirrels. Within hours of reaching the place I became suddenly faint. Right before I passed out I remembered seeing a flash of something brown like the earth's dirt.
I awoke to the smell of fresh meat- the meat of squirrel- and the scent of cats. When my silver eyes first opened I saw a squirrel laying in front of me. I blinked a couple of times as if in shock and looked up to see two cats-both with brown tabby pelts. One jumped up as he saw me move the other just stared. "She's awake!" "Be careful, Earthheart! She could be violent!" They were no older than apprentices. I was groggy, not stupid. He-the one called Earthheart- approached me. "Hi ya! I'm Earthheart! I'm a trainee of Tree clan!" "O Sure! Might as well tell her the secrets of our clan, too!" "Shut up, Stumpheart!" Trainee? Tree clan? Why in the world did their names both end in heart? Those were questions I was too tired to ask. I remember saying my name and then eating the rest of my squirrel.
This schedule continued for a few days until I was nursed back to health. During those days I learned a few things about 'Tree clan'. They were a clan of cats led by a tom named Jungleboar. I had only met him once and him seemed quite cold to me. They have a medicine cat called a 'savior'. Their savior is a she-cat who goes by the name of Emberstarter. She has a daughter named Cracklingflame-who doesn't like me. She seems to have a liking torward Earthheart, though. Jungleboar's right-paw cat is a tom who goes by the name of Skunkstripe. He comes to spy on me while I sleep-or that's what Earthheart and Stumpheart tell me. Kits are called New-births and their names end in birth. Also, all trainees-Tree clan's word for apprentice- names end in heart. It symbolizies how one's heart can change in this time period. Earthheart and Stumpheart are brothers. Brokenbranch-a retired (word for elder)- is their father. Their mother is dead. I hope to learn much from them-and maybe of my past.
I was finally strong enough to live the den. They were keeping me in the trainee dens. For the first time I peeked out of where I as being held captive. I was in a tree. Their dens were the insides of giant Sky Oaks! I was petrified. How had I not noticed before? Earthheart led me through the umm....camp. He taught me how to navigate the branches to reach certain areas of the camp. The place I found to be the most interesting was the nursery! The kits were O so cute! There were two queens-one nursing kits, the other expecting. Their names were Teenystarling and Nightlights. (From what Earthheart had told me I knew Nightlights' kits were going to be fatherd by a tom already with a mate. He was a recent retired-due to a battle that crippled his eyesight- and was mate to the savior and father of their one daughter, Cracklingflame.) They were both eager to meet and shared much gossip with me, but Skunkstripe staued at the entrance of the nursery all day long too. He scares me. His plet his dark except for the white stripe down his back. He stinks like a skunk too! Forgot! The kits I met are named Treebirth and Willowbirth! Their father is Airbreath! They are a gray-and-white and pure cuteness! But I'm worried that Willowbirth's curiousity will get the better of her one day.
