A proud shadow filled the entrance to the WindClan medicine cat;s den, just after sunhigh. Whisperstar's tabby pelt was, though it was hardly noticeable, ungroomed since the day before, her usually white paws dipped with dried mud. "Silentnight?" She called, searching for the Clan's medicine cat. Her voice, quiet as ever, was edged with worry.

Silentnight turned her head around to see her leader. The vioce was so meek and quiet, so almost didn't hear it. "Yes, Whisperstar. I'm her. What's wrong?"her voice held no caring tone, but curiousousty. Then her head tipped with a confused look. She had never seen her leader so nervous. "You don't look so great." Her copper eyes looked Whisperstar over. Starclan, what happened to her.

Whisperstar dipped her head respectfully. Although her position in the Clan was considered highest, she had the utmost admiration for Silentnight. "I..." Glancing back and seeing no nearby warriors, she turned back to the she-cat. "I know I'm probably being mouse-brained, but I had a strange dream last night. Shimmerstar spoke to me, but i could not...could net hear her. What does this mean? Is there trouble for WindClan?" Green-brown eyes were wide with unease, and the leader looked as though she expected ShadowClan to attack any minute.

Silentnight admired the leader's quickness to come to her. It made her feel needed. Too bad she couldn't get her clanmate to realize her importance. The leader's eyes seemed to be struck with horror. For a quick second her pelt shook at Whisper's fear. Her head nodded after Whisperstar's declaration of the dream. "Well, if you couldn't hear her then it could mean Starclan is trying to warn us of something beyond their knowledge, or power. Maybe something we has a clan must do. Or it could be personal. There are many possiblities without a more detailed dream. Is there anything else in the dream?"

The tabby nodded, giving her coat a single lick. "Yes...there was a cat nearby. I could see its eyes. They glowed like the ones on a Twoleg monster, but they were a cat's eyes." Closing her own, she sighed. "Silentnight, maybe I was not meant to be leader." The doubt in her, fostered by the knowledge she carried about her ascent to power, made her head heavy and she could not look directly and the medicine cat's eyes.

Her eyebrow lowered a little giving her face a stern look. "Whisperstar, never doubt your leadership. Your clan looks to us for guidance and they cannot see weakness. Starclan knows what they're doing." Silentnight's gaze was on her leader. The clan didn't need meekness or questions of leadership if trouble was afoot. "Now, I suspect this cat to be a kittypet. This kittypet brings much trouble to our clan-and maybe the others, too. That is what I believe from what you have told me." She stood up a little straighter. "Now let's see a smile and some leadership." A slight smile was on her face. Come on great leader, she thought.

At this, Whisperstar looked up. "You're right," she agreed, then with added conviction, "Let any kittypet try to bring trouble onto WindClan territory. We shall see where the doubts lie then, will we not?" Eyes gleaming, the leader rose her tail so it stood proudly. Her voice, though still quiet, was not flexible. Her Clan would survive, and no kittypet would change that.
"But Silentnight, how could a kittypet bring trouble here?" The worry was not gone, but hidden behind curiosity. If it was a cat from Twolegplace, that would be why StarClan could not know everything. Whisperstar gave silent thanks to her warrior ancestors for giving this medicine cat to her Clan.

Her smile grew warmer happy to have her leader back to normal. Silentnight listened to Whisperstar's question. The black she-cat closed hereyes for a minute to take in all that the feline had told her. Then her eyes opened filled with a greay joy to be helpping her clan. "It could be that the kittypet is from a place too far for the Stars too see or it is still to far in the future for Starclan to tell." Her head nodded. Or there could be something worst brewing.

Breezefeather walked into WindClan camp. The scent was unfamiliar, yet she had been here numerous times to exchange herbs with the medicine cat. Already, she knew the layout, and she walked straight to Silentnight's den. Smells of herbs filled her senses, and she seeked the scent of poppy. It was cloaked with so many other scents but yes! - she could scent traces of poppy seeds. Eagerly, Breezefeather entered the den, noticing Whisperstar's scent mingled with Silentnight's.
She came to their figures, and she dipped her head in respect. "Hello," she said, aware that she could be seen as a threat. "I've come to ask - Silentnight, do you have any poppy seeds I can use? I must confess, I'm out - though I can't figure why."

Whisperstar nodded to Breezefeather respectfully, knowing medicine cats were apart from Clan rivalries. She stayed silent, not willing to betray her fears to the RiverClan cat. "Are things well in RiverClan?" She asked casually.

Breezefeather nodded, sizing Whisperstar up. She was hiding something, Breezefeather decided. But she did not speak of such, only smiled fakely and said, "Yes, RiverClan is doing quite well. Well enough for me to get my apprentice, but what can you do?" She laughed light-heartedly, noticing the slight bitterness in her voice. "And how are things here? I see you and Silentnight were conferring - I apologize for interuppting," she said politely, shifting her weight between paws. It made her uncomfortable to not know what was up - information that troubled WindClan could, also, trouble RiverClan too. But Breezefeather kept silent. [/size]

Silentnight watched as another cat entered her den. "Oh hello, Breezefeather." she addresser her fellow medicine cat. The she-cat quickly glared at Whisperstar to signal not to tell the visitor of her dream. Right now it didn't seem important enough to tell them. The timing wasn't right just yet. For no it would be a secret between the leader and Medicine cat until they knew more."Why yes I have some poppy seed." She turned her back from the two as she sorted through her herbs. Then she pushed the poppy seeds away from the rest of the herbs, torward the other medicine cat. "Here are the poppy seeds."

Whisperstar flicked her tail in silent understanding. "No trouble at all, we were just talking about how well things are going." It sounded conceded, but if Breezefeather passed the word on to Loststar and RiverClan, all the better for her.

Wildtalon stuck his brown tabby head in. "Hello, girls. Are we have a meeting in here?" He chuckled with a smile on his face.

Whisperstar turned to the tom. "Wildtalon," she greeted him, "Don't you have an apprentice? Or a patrol?" She meant not to be rude, but not only did she have to bother with a medicine cat from another Clan, but she had to present herself properly to her warrior. Turning to Silentnight, she dipped her striped head. "I'll take my leave, I suppose," she told the medicine cat. "Please, Breezefeather, give Loststar my regards."
