"I'm more of an apprentice than any Clanborn mouse-brain you old flea-bag! That's why you and Whisperstar hate me so much!" The tomcat spat at his mentor furiously. "Well, StarClan hasn't done much, have they? What's wrong with me?" Wind buffeted the small cat's fur, making him stumble only for a heartbeat. "I didn't do anything wrong." Conviction held his tone like his eyes fought to hold Silentnight's. He was far too young to understand all that the world had to offer, much less the world he had been born into. All he saw was inexcusable, unjust treatment.

THe black she-cat wiggled her whiskers, giving her an annoyed apperance. "What's wrong is that you're a selfish apprentice whose lucky to even call himself a clan cat. For all I care, Whisperstar should have let you die right outside clan territory!" Silentnight was quite frank with the tom. "You're of no use as a warrior, so she pited you and made you into a Medicine cat apprentice, which, of course, displeases me and the stars." THough the she-cat couldn't actually back up the last bit it made since to her. He had NO elements of a future medicine cat and was just wasting her time.

Mellowpaw pulled back his lips and hissed. "I don't need you or any other cat telling me what I am or am not!" The tom's earth-toned pelt was standing on end now, and fury shimmered in his eyes. "This whole Clan is full of cats scurrying around, serving her and you and StarClan until they become useless! There's only one decent cat in the whole territory!" He thought of Luna, who held no grudge against him. "And you know what? I'm going to go find her!" Spitting at the medicine cat's paws, he turned from her to find his fellow apprentice.
