Flightwind's white fur was relatively dry when mentor and apprentice finally approached the old Thunderpath. His nose curled up in distaste and he took a step back as the sickening stench hit him hard. "Twolegs," he muttered with dignified distaste.

Flightwind playfully flicked the last drops of river water from his tail to get back at Almondpaw. "I hate this smell, even if monster's don't usually use it. How can Twolegs stand it?" He then realized Almondpaw didn't know and murmured, "Nevermind. Can you scent anything?"

Flightwind paced up and down the Twoleg Thunderpath, ignoring the she-cat for a moment. Something was different. He could hear monsters somewhere nearby, he realized, and more frequently than usual. "Odd."

"Hmm?" Almondpaw asked as she pushed around a rolled up rolley polley and pushed it into the dirt thunderpath where it lay.

Almondpaw strayed behind a little, running as fast as she wanted. She then decided. "What the dung, I'll run anyway!" So she ran a little fast to match speed to Flightwinds tail.

Flightwind couldn't resist it. He noticed a small puddle of mud ahead, and decided the slope of the ground would hide it from a cat Almondpaw's height. Without warning, he stopped abruptly in front of it.

ALmondpaw saw him stop and put on the breaks, but the ground was to wet. Her small white paws sliced the the ground as she splashed into the mud puddle. SHe lay there unmi=oving for a moment, anger building in her. She looked dead.

Worried, Flightwind trampled into the med and fished Almondpaw out. It was sticky and foul-tasting, but he finished pulling her away and nudged her. "Almondpaw?"

Flightwind tried to stifle his purrs of laughter, using a white paw to wipe the mud from the she-cat's fur. "You look like you could scare the pelt off of Loststar himself," he told her.
